Topshop, I love thee so, but sometimes you do make me question things.
Number one... I know Boutique has some random things sometimes, but I'm usually craving most of the collection...
this jacket however?
I don't understand... it is a pyjama jacket. What one wears to bed yes?
So why on earth would you pay so much for something you could buy at M&S?
Why on earth would you wear a pyjama jacket as outdoor wear?
How is this ever going to be flattering?? The silk blazers they have in at the moment are lovely but this is... it's a pyjama jacket!
Number two... I have avoided the Chanel-inspired stars trend so far. Although others, including Miss Chung, look fabulous in the print, I can't see a way of wearing them myself.
To be honest, I think it's down to a girl from college last year. She was a bit of a bitch and was usually dressed in some star-printed item... and thus I immediately relate stars to her. I also quite liked the oversized hair slides that were around last year till she started wearing them... it sounds pathetic but the mind is a funny thing I suppose.
However, Topshop has presented me with this offer

And I adore. I crave. I lust for.
Strapless? Hell yeah. Strapless jumpsuit? Gimme. Now.
The most wonderous being this dress

Some of you may remember the EXACT same one in the Peter Jensen collection last year... yet it was selling for £75. I debated and debated on whether I could spend that much on a dress. I even dreamt about it. And then it sold out. And I actually could have cried. Whenever it came to mind my face would crumple.
THEN in the Peter Jensen collection of this year it returned! However it was grey... it didn't have the same feel to it as the black version. And so I began to debate again. It was indeed the most perfect dress... but could I really pay so much? And then fork out even more money to dye it? Oh it was a quandry.
And then it came back. In black. At £35. Sans Peter Jensen label. I've never ordered something so fast in my life!
And the ruffles and frills keep a-coming...

*le sigh* My poor bank account...

... Why fork out £90 for a high street prom dress when you can get an original for a fraction of the cost?
Although, no, it doesn't quite appear so classy as other publications (maybe due to having Cheryl Cole's orange mug grinning at you from the front cover...) I have found it's well worth the measely £1.40 for content. Skip over the mundane and repetitive celeb "exclusives" and although you won't find any enchanting editorials... there's a bucket-load of clothes/accessories/make-up (including a vast "new-in-the-shops-this-week section).
